Terms of Service
The deal between you and Schools Geek, without the fifty pages. Using our website or platform means you accept these terms.
Last updated: 29 July 2026 · Applies to schoolsgeek.com and the Schools Geek platform
Some listings, schools, photos, fees, ratings and reviews shown on this website are sample data added for testing and demonstration while we build out the platform. That content is not verified, may be inaccurate or out of date, and in some cases the school shown may not exist or may not be a Schools Geek customer. Do not rely on any listing to make an admission, financial or travel decision until we have marked it verified. Sample entries are removed as real, document-verified schools replace them. If you believe a listing is wrong or misleading, please report it and we will action it.
1. What Schools Geek is
Schools Geek provides (a) a free public school-search service for parents, and (b) paid software for schools, AI website, ERP, admission marketing and LMS, sold as monthly subscriptions per plan and student band, priced by country. "You" means the visitor, parent, or school (through its authorised signatory) using these services.
Because the service is in beta, features, listings and pricing may change, and parts of the platform may be unavailable or incomplete from time to time. Nothing on this website is an offer or guarantee of a seat, a fee amount, or admission at any school.
2. Accounts and truthfulness
- School accounts must be created by someone authorised to act for that school.
- Listing information (fees, facilities, results) must be accurate, verified badges are removed for misrepresentation.
- Reviews must be genuine, first-hand experiences from identity-verified users. Buying, faking or coercing reviews is grounds for removal from the platform.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for what happens under your account roles.
3. Subscriptions, pricing & the 3-months-free offer
- Plans (Free, Launch, Grow, Complete) are billed monthly per your student band and country, in your local currency.
- Regional pricing: prices are set per country using purchasing-power parity, are determined by the school's location, and are shown and billed in that country's currency. Outside our listed countries, plans are offered at our standard USD rates. Regional prices are uniform within a country and are not individually negotiable, so every school in a market pays the same fair rate.
- First 3 months free: new schools use their chosen paid plan free for 3 months, cancellable at any time during those months with nothing to pay. Paid billing starts in month 4 unless you cancel first. One free period per school.
- Onboarding fees: where onboarding or data migration carries a one-time fee, that fee is quoted per school based on the size and complexity of the data to be migrated, and is stated in writing before you commit.
- If your student count crosses into a higher band, the new band applies from your next billing cycle, we'll tell you before it does.
- Revisions: prices, plans, discounts and promotional offers (including the free period and Free-plan limits) may be revised, withdrawn or replaced at our discretion with reasonable prior notice. Changes never apply mid-way through a period you have already paid for, and no revision retroactively charges you for time already used under an earlier offer.
4. What's live vs. what's roadmap
We practise claims discipline: features marked live exist today; features marked roadmap ship per our public roadmap and are included in your plan as they release. We don't guarantee roadmap dates, and roadmap items are not grounds for refunds of months already used, the free period exists so you can judge the live product first.
5. Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Cancel any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month; there are no lock-ins and no cancellation fees.
- During the free 3 months: cancel and pay nothing. Ever.
- Paid months: the current month is non-refundable once started, except in the two cases below.
- Our fault: if a sustained platform outage (more than 72 continuous hours, caused by us) disrupts your school, we refund or credit that month in full.
- Duplicate/erroneous charges: refunded in full within 7 working days of verification.
- Your data on exit: whatever happens, you can export your school's data free of charge for 90 days after cancellation, after which it is deleted per our Privacy Policy.
- Refund requests go to team@schoolsgeek.com or WhatsApp +91 95695 34431; approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.
6. Your data, our platform
- Your school's data (students, fees, records) is yours. We process it only to run the service, see the Privacy Policy.
- The platform, its code, design and AI systems are ours. Your subscription is a licence to use them, not ownership of them.
- Content you publish on your school profile (photos, text) stays yours; you grant us the licence needed to display it on your profile and in search.
7. Fair use
Don't misuse the platform: no unlawful content, no scraping other schools' data, no attempting to breach security or others' accounts, no using the messaging tools for spam unrelated to your school, and no reselling access without a partner agreement. We may suspend accounts that put other users or their data at risk, and will tell you why.
8. AI features, honest limits
Our AI assistant answers from your school's data and drafts content for staff to review. AI output can be imperfect; final decisions on marks, fees, communications and admissions are always the school's, made by humans. Don't treat AI answers as legal, financial or medical advice.
9. Liability
We run Schools Geek with care, but no software is defect-free. To the extent law allows, our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event, and we're not liable for indirect losses (lost profits, lost admissions). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Uttar Pradesh, India having jurisdiction, except where the law of your country grants you non-waivable local consumer rights, which remain yours. For GCC and other international schools with a signed order form, that order form's terms prevail where they differ.
11. Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms, we'll notify school admin accounts and update the date above. Continuing to use the service after notice means you accept the change; if you don't, you can cancel per Section 5.
